Senior Product Manager, Finance

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Finance based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of product innovation, financial operations, and data-driven decision-making within a fast-growing SaaS environment focused on modernizing trade promotion management for the consumer packaged goods industry. As a Senior Product Manager, Finance, you will own mission-critical financial workflows that ensure accuracy and trust in cash application and deduction resolution processes. You will partner closely with engineering, design, finance, and customer-facing teams to transform complex, manual financial operations into scalable, automated product experiences. This position requires strong product leadership in ambiguous environments, where you will define strategy, shape multi-quarter roadmaps, and translate customer and financial workflows into clear, executable product requirements. You will also work directly with enterprise customers to deeply understand accounting and reconciliation needs. This is a high-impact role where your work directly influences financial integrity, customer satisfaction, and platform scalability.

Accountabilities
  • Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for financial product areas, from discovery and strategy through delivery, launch, and continuous iteration.
  • Define and manage the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Cash Application and Deduction Resolution Management (DRM).
  • Lead a cross-functional “Finance Pod,” partnering with engineering, design, sales, customer success, and finance stakeholders to identify and solve customer problems.
  • Translate complex financial and operational workflows into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlogs.
  • Drive product discovery through customer interviews, research, and workshops to deeply understand financial operations and user needs.
  • Partner closely with engineering during development to ensure high-quality execution, performance, and timely delivery.
  • Own the financial integrity of core workflows, including payment matching, remittance parsing, deduction validation, and ERP reconciliation.
  • Ensure seamless integration with external financial systems such as NetSuite and QuickBooks, including data synchronization and transaction posting.
  • Plan and execute product launches in collaboration with marketing, sales, and enablement teams to drive adoption and value realization.
  • Monitor product quality, reliability, and risk areas, proactively identifying issues and partnering with support to resolve customer challenges.
  • Improve operational efficiency through process optimization, automation, and continuous product enhancements.
  • Use data, metrics, and experimentation to evaluate product performance and guide prioritization decisions.
Requirements
  • 5–8 years of product management experience building SaaS or B2B products, ideally in fintech, financial operations, or ERP-adjacent domains.
  • Strong domain knowledge of financial workflows such as accounts receivable, cash application, deductions/chargebacks, GL reconciliation, and month-end close processes.
  • Proven ability to own and ship end-to-end products with measurable business and customer impact.
  • Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and financial data flows between platforms (e.g., ERPs like NetSuite or QuickBooks).
  • Strong ability to translate ambiguous problems into structured product requirements and clear execution plans.
  • Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile environments and making informed trade-off decisions.
  • Strong customer discovery skills, including interviews, surveys, and workflow analysis.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities, with the capacity to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and data fluency, with experience defining success metrics and using insights to drive decisions.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments with a strong bias for action.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Experience leveraging modern AI-assisted or analytics tools is a plus.
Benefits
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility across the United States.
  • Competitive compensation package aligned with experience and impact.
  • Comprehensive healthcare coverage, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer contributions.
  • Flexible PTO policy designed to support work-life balance and prevent burnout.
  • Home office stipend to support a productive remote setup.
  • Wellness and meal stipends to support employee well-being.
  • Paid holidays and extended long-weekend breaks throughout the year.
  • Strong focus on professional growth, learning, and cross-functional exposure.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact financial systems shaping a modern SaaS platform.
  • Collaborative, values-driven culture emphasizing ownership, customer focus, and execution excellence.
