As a Deal Operations professional, you will play a critical role in accelerating revenue growth by overseeing the full commercial lifecycle from proposal development through contract execution. Acting as a strategic partner to Sales, Legal, Finance, Security, and other cross-functional teams, you will ensure deals move efficiently while maintaining compliance, protecting business interests, and optimizing commercial outcomes. This position combines operational excellence, commercial strategy, contract management, and process improvement in a fast-paced SaaS environment. You will help streamline complex deal workflows, improve proposal quality, and build scalable systems that support long-term growth. - Manage the end-to-end proposal, RFP, and RFI response process, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely submissions.
- Coordinate input from cross-functional stakeholders to develop compelling commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Maintain and continuously improve proposal content libraries, templates, pricing guidance, and reusable resources to increase efficiency and consistency.
- Partner with sales teams to structure deals, develop pricing strategies, and balance customer needs with business objectives.
- Own CRM governance and data quality processes, ensuring accurate deal information, proper attribution, and adherence to established workflows.
- Manage approval processes for pricing, discounting, contract terms, and non-standard deal structures.
- Oversee contract execution from initial draft through signature, ensuring all agreements reflect approved commercial terms and organizational policies.
- Serve as a key point of contact during the contracting phase, facilitating communication between customers and internal stakeholders.
- Conduct initial contract reviews, coordinate redline processes, and route contractual issues to appropriate teams for review and approval.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives across proposal management, deal operations, contracting, and commercial workflows.
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI-powered solutions, and workflow enhancements to improve scalability and reduce manual effort.
- Analyze deal performance, proposal outcomes, and operational metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement data-driven improvements.
- Maintain process documentation, approval frameworks, pricing guidelines, and operational playbooks to support organizational consistency and growth.
- 3–5 years of experience in Deal Desk, Deal Operations, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Commercial Contracting, or a related role within a B2B SaaS environment.
- Proven experience managing RFPs, RFIs, proposals, and customer-facing commercial documentation from initiation to submission.
- Strong background overseeing contract workflows, including quote validation, approval routing, redlining, contract execution, and repository management.
- Experience negotiating commercial terms with enterprise customers, including payment terms, service agreements, and risk-related provisions.
- Demonstrated ability to enforce operational processes and governance standards across cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
- Hands-on experience working with CRM platforms, preferably Salesforce, and familiarity with CPQ solutions.
- Experience using Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems such as Ironclad, SpotDraft, or similar platforms.
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of pricing models, contract structures, margin considerations, and business risk.
- Ability to interpret contractual language, identify non-standard clauses, and coordinate appropriate reviews with legal, finance, and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
