This role sits at the core of enterprise identity security, ensuring reliable and secure access management across complex, mission-critical systems supporting large-scale government healthcare operations. You will work hands-on with Oracle Identity & Access Management 12c environments, helping to maintain, secure, and optimize authentication, authorization, and identity governance services. The position blends deep technical engineering with security-focused operations, including troubleshooting production systems, enhancing automation, and supporting continuous monitoring of identity activity. You will collaborate closely with security teams, SMEs, and infrastructure engineers to ensure compliance, resilience, and operational excellence. This is a highly technical role where your work directly impacts system integrity, user access control, and regulatory security standards. It is well suited for an engineer who thrives in complex IAM ecosystems and values precision, security, and stability.

Accountabilities
  • Administer and maintain Oracle Identity Management 12c components, including OAM, OID, and OIG, across production and non-production environments.
  • Support identity lifecycle operations including provisioning, authentication, authorization, access requests, and privilege management.
  • Participate in continuous monitoring of identity systems, including detection of access anomalies, privilege escalation, and security events.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM issues across OIG/OAM environments, ensuring system stability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including SOPs, configuration guides, and operational procedures.
  • Build and support custom IAM functionality using Java, REST APIs, scheduled jobs, adapters, and automation tools.
  • Collaborate with security and technical SMEs to ensure identity controls, compliance, and governance requirements are met.
  • Support LDAP integrations and query-based troubleshooting across directory services such as OID and Active Directory.
Requirements

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in identity and access management engineering, particularly within Oracle IAM ecosystems, combined with solid programming and security expertise. You should be comfortable working in complex, regulated environments and capable of troubleshooting advanced IAM issues across enterprise systems.

  • 5+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management engineering or operations.
  • Hands-on expertise with Oracle IAM 12c components (OAM, OIG, OID, WebLogic, SOA).
  • Strong Java development skills with experience using OIG/OAM REST and Java APIs.
  • Deep understanding of authentication and authorization frameworks including SSO, SAML, OAuth, MFA, and federation.
  • Experience with RBAC/ABAC models, least privilege design, and identity governance principles.
  • Ability to troubleshoot IAM issues across production and non-production environments.
  • Strong SQL skills for reporting, debugging, and system support tasks.
  • Experience with LDAP directories and query-based troubleshooting (OID, Active Directory).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across technical and security-focused teams.
  • Familiarity with BI Publisher reporting and IAM automation tools.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, Security+, or Oracle IAM-related certifications.
Benefits
  • Remote work flexibility within the United States
  • Competitive salary range: $112,840 – $145,130
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off, holidays, and flexible work arrangements
  • Paid parental, military, and personal leave options
  • Professional development support, including training and certifications
  • Internal mobility and career growth opportunities
  • Exposure to large-scale, mission-critical government healthcare systems
  • Cutting-edge identity, security, and cloud technologies
