This leadership role sits at the center of national account strategy, overseeing high-value client relationships and driving retention, growth, and service excellence across complex insurance accounts. The position blends operational oversight, strategic planning, and team leadership to ensure seamless account execution and strong customer outcomes. You will lead a team of account managers and support staff while coordinating cross-functional initiatives that improve service delivery and resolve escalated issues. The role requires a strong understanding of insurance products, enrollment processes, and client servicing models in a highly regulated environment. You will also play a key role in shaping retention strategies, improving operational performance, and ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders. This is a high-impact position where leadership, analytical thinking, and customer focus directly influence business success.
- Lead and manage a team of national account managers and support staff, ensuring strong performance, clear objectives, and high-quality client service delivery across assigned accounts
- Oversee account retention strategies, escalation management, renewal planning, and issue resolution while maintaining strong client relationships and satisfaction
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to resolve operational challenges, improve service delivery, and ensure alignment across internal teams and business units
- Drive account performance analysis, root cause identification, and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning activities while supporting hiring, training strategies, and team development initiatives
- Lead strategic projects, reporting initiatives, and operational reviews to ensure successful execution of account goals and organizational priorities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role and 3+ years in the insurance industry
- Strong knowledge of insurance products, enrollment processes, account management practices, and service delivery operations
- Proven experience managing large accounts, retention strategies, and cross-functional stakeholder relationships
- Strong leadership, project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office tools, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
