Lake City Homes is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Manager to oversee residential construction projects from planning through completion. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate with a degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Business Operations, Engineering Technology, or a related field who is eager to build a career in project management and residential construction.

The Project Manager will coordinate project schedules, manage priorities, communicate with vendors and subcontractors, track budgets and timelines, and leverage technology to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to Lake City Homes' quality standards.

Experience with JobTread is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who demonstrates strong organizational skills, technological aptitude, and a desire to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential construction projects from contract execution through project completion.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Utilize JobTread and other technology platforms to track project progress, budgets, change orders, and documentation.
  • Prioritize competing tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor project budgets, costs, and job profitability.
  • Identify potential project risks and proactively develop solutions.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reports, and communications.
  • Ensure projects comply with company standards, building codes, and safety requirements.
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership regarding project progress and challenges.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general business technology.
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Preferred

  • Experience with JobTread construction management software.
  • Internship, co-op, or project experience in construction, manufacturing, engineering, or operations.
  • Knowledge of project scheduling, process improvement, or lean methodologies.
  • Experience working with project management software, ERP systems, or construction technology platforms.
