About Smarty

Our culture is all about creating, building, helping, and collaborating with energy and excitement. We want to enjoy our time together by being outward toward others, making appropriate efforts to master our respective crafts, and doing lots of fun things together.
Who We Are
Smarty is a 10+ year company that is self-funded, profitable, growing, and crazy fun! But don't take our word for it: we were recognized as one of Utah's Top Workplaces in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025. Come grow with us!
Since our founding in 2011, Smarty has become a recognized industry leader in location data intelligence. Don't really know what that is? That's okay. The candid answer is, we provide enterprise-grade SaaS solutions for address validation, geocoding, and data enrichment worldwide. If that went right over your head, that's okay too. This is probably still the best job you will ever apply for–we are pretty certain of it.
Who We're Looking For
We have an immediate opening for a Digital Analytics Specialist to join our team! This role sits at the intersection of analytics implementation and reporting. You’ll own how data is collected across our website and applications—and help turn that data into insights marketing and product teams can actually use.
You’ll work closely with frontend engineers to design and maintain a clean, reliable data layer, configure Google Tag Manager and GA4, and build dashboards and reports that help teams understand performance and behavior. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both getting the data right and making the data useful.
** This role is onsite in our Orem, UT office. **

- Strong working knowledge of GA4, including event modeling, parameters, and conversions

- Comfort collaborating with frontend engineers and reading JavaScript/DOM code
- Experience building and maintaining dashboards and reports (GA4, Looker, or similar tools)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate business questions into measurable analytics solutions
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to completion
Bonus points:
- Server-side GTM or GA4 Measurement Protocol experience
- Experience with BigQuery or data warehouses
- Familiarity with marketing platforms (Google Ads, HubSpot, LinkedIn, etc.)
- Experience with consent management, GDPR, or CCPA consideration
- Did we mention having fun? Work hard, master your craft, and have fun along the way.
What You’ll Do For Us
Responsibilities:
- Own and manage Google Tag Manager and analytics instrumentation across our website and applications
- Configure, maintain, and document GA4 events, parameters, and conversions
- Design and maintain a scalable, consistent data layer in partnership with frontend teams
- Debug and validate tracking across browsers, devices, and environments
- Build and maintain core dashboards and reports used by marketing, product, and leadership
- Help stakeholders understand what the data means and how to use it
- Identify gaps in tracking and proactively recommend improvements
- Establish analytics standards, naming conventions, and documentation
- Continue developing your analytics, technical, and communication skills
- Maximize your growth through company-sponsored training, including Arbinger methodologies, and apply what you learn in your work and interactions with others
