Delivery Driver in Louisville, Kentucky at Air Hydro Power LLC

Drives truck or vehicle to customer facilities and branch locations to pick up and deliver repair material in an efficient and safe manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Drives truck, van, or vehicle.
• Prepare shipments and verify load against shipping paper.
• Schedule delivery route in the most efficient means to be delivered.
• Sort and load delivery items in the most efficient means to be delivered.
• Load delivery vehicle in a safe manner ensuring the load will be safe to travel to its destination without damage to product or vehicle.
• Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles. Check all fluids, lights, brakes, and tires, making sure they are serviced regularly. Make sure the vehicle is kept clean both inside and out.
• The driver must also assist warehouse personnel when in the warehouse after daily deliveries are completed.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical Aptitude a plus.
• Observes safety and security procedures; Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.
• Proficient with ERP or related software to complete reports and logs.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card, TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card, and have the ability to become Forklift Certified.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required. Related experience and/or training are strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit and use hands to hold, handle, or interact with objects and equipment. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
