North Trail RV has an immediate opening for a Chassis Parts Specialist. The ideal candidate for Chassis Parts Specialist sources, orders, and manages the inventory of mechanical components for recreational vehicle undercarriages (e.g., drivetrains, suspension, steering). A Chassis Parts Specialist bridges the gap between service technicians and parts suppliers, ensuring that the correct, high-value components are available to keep vehicles safely on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Parts Sourcing & Identification: Utilize OEM catalogs and parts software to locate resources and order specific chassis components (e.g., AC parts, brake calipers, steering boxes).
- Vendor & Inventory Management: Establish and maintain relationships with chassis manufacturers (e.g., Spartan, Freightliner, Ford). Manage stock levels, track backorders, and stage parts for active service jobs.
- Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming freight for damage, verify part numbers, and handle warranty claims for incorrect or defective items.
- Technician & Customer Collaboration: Provide technical advice to service technicians and customers, offer cost estimates, and provide status updates on delayed parts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in RV/heavy-truck parts management, automotive parts sales, or warehouse inventory control is highly preferred.
- Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of heavy-duty truck or RV chassis components, including steering, suspension, and braking systems.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in dealership management systems (DMS), inventory tracking software, and electronic parts catalogs.
- Soft Skills: Detail-oriented with excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Pre-employment screenings including background test
- Ability to work 8 hours shift Monday-Friday. Reliable attendance is a must.
