Requirements:We are seeking a skilled full-time X-ray Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray technology and ensuring the highest quality of patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and patient safety protocols. The X-ray Technician will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals in various settings, including urgent care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray examinations on patients, ensuring accurate positioning and technique
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, adhering to safety standards and protocols
- Assist in the preparation of patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and support
- Document patient information and imaging results accurately in medical records
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and contribute to diagnostic evaluations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, following aseptic techniques and infection control measures
- Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technologies
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge relevant to diagnostic imaging
- Strong understanding of physiology knowledge as it relates to medical imaging techniques
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations effectively while ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare team members
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience / Qualifications:
- Graduated from an X-ray Tech program
- Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed in accordance with the state of NJ
- Experience in orthopaedics is preferred
- Familiarity with medical billing and coding practices is highly desirable
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and phone systems is essential
- Experience with health information, worker’s comp, motor vehicles, and customer service will be beneficial
Compensation & Benefits:
OrthoNJ, LLC is required by New Jersey law to disclose the compensation range for this position. The hiring range for this role is $27.00-$43.50 per hour. Compensation is determined based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, and geographic location. Certain roles may also be eligible for additional compensation, such as bonuses or incentive pay, as well as benefits. Eligible full-time employees are offered a comprehensive benefits package, which may include paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and a retirement plan.
