Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: CFTOD Facilities, Lake Buena Vista, FL
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, full-time General Cleaner to join our 1st shift team at CFTOD Facilities in Lake Buena Vista, FL. This is a consistent, stable position where you will play a key role in performing a variety of cleaning duties to uphold the cleanliness and sanitation standards of facilities operated by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize various surfaces including floors, walls, windows, furniture, and fixtures using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Dust surfaces, furniture, and equipment thoroughly and polish surfaces to maintain a clean and attractive appearance.
- Vacuum carpets and rugs; sweep and mop hard surface floors paying attention to corners and hard-to-reach areas.
- Clean and disinfect restroom fixtures including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and countertops; refill dispensers and supplies as needed.
- Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and dispose of waste and recyclables in designated containers.
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and restroom amenities to ensure adequate stock for daily tasks.
- Assist floor technicians in floor care duties such as buffing, waxing, and stripping floors as directed by supervisors.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times.
Qualifications:
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Able to be on your feet and physically active throughout your shift.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills in English.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check.
Working Conditions:
This position is primarily indoors within CFTOD-managed facilities but may include exposure to outdoor conditions in varying Florida weather. Team members may be exposed to dust, fumes, and cleaning chemicals during the course of their duties. The role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift in a high-traffic, guest-facing environment.

This position is located at a facility operated by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD). All candidates must successfully complete a background check prior to their start date. Details will be provided during the hiring process.
