Weekend Caregiver (In-Home Care) – Pocatello, ID

About the Role
Happy to Help Caregiving is looking for dependable, compassionate caregivers to provide weekend in-home, non-medical care for seniors, veterans, and individuals with disabilities throughout the Pocatello area.
As a Weekend Caregiver, you'll help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes by providing one-on-one support and companionship. If you're caring, reliable, and looking for meaningful weekend work, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Depending on each client's care plan, responsibilities may include:
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
- Preparing meals and encouraging hydration
- Performing light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and tidying living areas
- Providing medication reminders (no handling or administering medications)
- Assisting with mobility, transfers, repositioning, walkers, and wheelchairs
- Providing transportation for appointments, errands, and grocery shopping
- Offering respite care for family caregivers
- Documenting services provided and communicating changes to the office
- Supporting each client's independence, dignity, and daily routine
Qualifications
We're looking for caregivers who are compassionate, dependable, and professional.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Kind, patient, and trustworthy attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions
- Comfortable assisting with personal care and mobility
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Preferred
- Previous caregiving, CNA, home care, healthcare, or customer service experience
No prior caregiving experience is required—we value compassion, reliability, and a willingness to learn.
Position Details
- Location: Pocatello, Chubbuck, and surrounding communities
- Schedule: Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with flexible hours
- Employment: Full-time or part-time weekend opportunities
- Type: In-home, non-medical caregiving
