Position summary
Supervise and coordinate the activities of helpers, laborers, or material movers. Supervisor will be responsible for the overall leadership in the areas of operational performance and improvements, P&L management, customer relations and employee development. You will be a proactive thinker who can effectively maximize the performance of a high-volume operation that runs 5 days a week.
Tasks
- Collaborate with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.
- Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
- Plan work schedules and assign duties to maintain adequate staff for effective performance of activities and response to fluctuating workloads.
- Inform designated employees or departments of items loaded and problems encountered. Monitor service levels to ensure that performance metrics meet customer requirements and are communicated appropriately.
- Drive the operational performance at the facility level, focusing on productivity and loss prevention.
- Monitor replenishments and inventory control to ensure discrepancies are corrected immediately.
- Managed daily facility workload planning and volume forecasting (i.e. staffing, equipment, space).
- Ensure company policies are communicated, administered and enforced.
- Increase efficiency of operation and employee productivity.
- Properly allocate and maximize on spacing capacity.
- Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconcile with data storage system.

Experience and Education
High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate); Over 2 years, up to and including 4 years
