Job Description

Location: On-site, Brooklyn NY (Williamsburg)

Salary: $23-$25/hour

PDI Health is a leading mobile X-ray and ultrasound company dedicated to serving long-term care facilities and their patients. We are looking for a motivated Junior IT Support Specialist to join our growing IT team. In this role, you'll provide helpdesk support to employees in both remote and on-site environments, while actively contributing to the development of the IT policies and procedures that keep our organization running smoothly.

The right candidate will help to support not only, computers, but biomedical equipment as well.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide first-line IT support to staff members, both in-house and remote, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.

2. Manage support tickets, ensuring swift and satisfactory resolution, prioritizing tasks as necessary.

3. Document all technical issues and resolutions within the ticketing system for future reference.

4. Aid in the creation and maintenance of training materials aimed at educating staff on common IT issues and their solutions.

5. Contribute to the drafting and implementation of IT policies and procedures.

6. Assist in building a comprehensive FAQ database to facilitate self-service for common IT problems.

7. Participate in regular team meetings and trainings to maintain up-to-date knowledge of our IT infrastructure and the latest technologies.

Qualifications:

1. Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).

2. 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3. Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and operating systems.

4. Proficiency in problem-solving, with the ability to think critically and troubleshoot various technical issues.

5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT issues in simple terms.

6. Experience with ticketing systems

7. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

8. Biomedical equipment experience/ knowledge is preferred but not required.
