POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior CPFR Analyst plays a key role on the Walmart team at Petmate, serving as the primary point of contact between Petmate and Walmart’s replenishment organization. This position is responsible for managing collaborative planning, forecasting, and replenishment activities at the SKU level to drive in-stock performance, optimize inventory, and support sound business decisions and strategic initiatives. Working at the intersection of sales, supply chain, and the customer, the Senior CPFR Analyst uses data from Walmart’s Retail Link, Scintilla, and internal planning systems to identify risks, surface opportunities, and execute joint business initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Sales with close collaboration with Supply Planning and Demand Planning teams as well as with the Business Intelligence team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile, analyze, and clearly communicate analytical findings of large datasets across Retail Link, Scintilla, and internal ERP/planning systems to generate actionable insights for the sales and supply chain teams.
- Own the end-to-end CPFR process for assigned Walmart categories, including baseline forecast maintenance, exception management, and replenishment strategy execution.
- Monitor daily and weekly in-stock performance, order patterns, and inventory levels at the store and DC level; identify root causes of gaps and proactively drive corrective action to mitigate service risk.
- Provide weekly reporting recaps including in-stock performance, case fill rate, OTIF, SQEP metrics, and forecast accuracy; deliver ad hoc analytical support for use in presentations by sales, marketing, and overall leadership.
- Analyze POS trends, seasonal patterns, promotional lift, and new item velocity to refine forecast inputs and maintain alignment between internal plans and customer orders.
- Reconcile Walmart forecasts against internal demand plans; communicate variances and recommended adjustments to Sales, Supply Planning, and Demand Planning teams.
- Manage replenishment parameters (safety stock, lead times, order minimums) in Retail Link and internal systems to maintain optimal inventory positioning.
- Collaborate with replenishment teams on forecast recommendations, out-of-stock concerns, and supply planning actions.
Customer Collaboration & Joint Business Planning:
- Serve as the primary supply chain contact for Walmart replenishment analysts; lead regular CPFR review meetings focused on in-stock, inventory health, and order execution.
- Partner with Walmart buyer and replenishment teams on key business activities including new item launches, expanded distribution, promotional events, planogram transitions, and end-of-life discontinuations.
- Support the development of Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Joint Business Plans (JBP) by providing forecast-based insights and replenishment performance data.
- Communicate delivery risks and revised availability dates to internal stakeholders and Walmart contacts in a timely and accurate manner; proactively surface recovery plans.
- Assist with new item creation and setup process for Walmart Omni (Item 360/QMS submissions) as needed.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with Sales, Supply Planning, Demand Planning, Logistics, and Customer Service to align on inventory availability, order execution, and customer commitments.
- Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to support product lifecycle activities including new product introductions, line extensions, promotions, and end-of-life transitions.
- Coordinate with the Data Analytics team to improve reporting infrastructure and automate recurring analytical workflows.
- Participate in S&OP/IBP processes, contributing customer-specific demand signals and replenishment insights to cross-functional planning reviews.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and recommend improvements to reporting processes, data accuracy, and workflow efficiency related to CPFR and replenishment operations.
- Maintain documentation of CPFR workflows, planning assumptions, and standard operating procedures to ensure consistency and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current on Walmart platform updates, retailer initiatives, and industry best practices in CPFR and customer supply chain management.
- Perform other tasks needed to support business growth.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, index/match, data modeling) and Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Solid understanding of Walmart operational requirements including OTIF, ASN compliance, SQEP, and store-level replenishment mechanics.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to compile, analyze, and clearly communicate findings from complex data sets to sales, marketing, and overall leadership.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly organized, systems-driven, and confident managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
