D365 FO SCM Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a D365 FO SCM Consultant based in India.

This role focuses on delivering end-to-end Supply Chain Management solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, supporting enterprise clients in optimizing and transforming their business processes.
The position plays a key role in gathering requirements, designing solutions, and configuring SCM modules to ensure successful implementation across complex global environments.
It involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate operational needs into scalable system configurations.
The role spans full project lifecycles, including workshops, fit-gap analysis, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
It requires strong functional expertise in SCM processes combined with hands-on experience in Dynamics AX/D365 environments.
This is a high-impact consulting role in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with exposure to international implementations.

Accountabilities:
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to Supply Chain Management processes across enterprise environments.
  • Configure and implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations SCM modules based on client-specific business needs.
  • Lead functional workshops, fit-gap analysis sessions, and solution design discussions with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Provide expertise across SCM domains including procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, product information management, master planning, sales, and distribution.
  • Support end-to-end project delivery including solution design, functional documentation, testing (SIT/UAT), and production deployment.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to support customizations, integrations, and system enhancements.
  • Deliver user training sessions, prepare documentation, and provide post-go-live functional support.
  • Participate in global project delivery with cross-functional and international teams.
Requirements:
  • 5–7 years of experience as a Functional Consultant in Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in D365 F&O Supply Chain Management modules and related business processes.
  • Experience delivering at least 2–3 full lifecycle implementations in D365 F&O environments.
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes and industry best practices.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, solution design, system configuration, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 (or earlier versions) is required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams.
  • Exposure to migration or upgrade projects from AX to D365 F&O is a strong advantage.
  • Experience with Agile delivery methodologies, Power Platform, Azure integrations, or reporting tools is a plus.
