Job Summary
Providence Christian Preparatory School is seeking a passionate, engaging, and Christ-centered French Teacher to provide high-quality world language instruction for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12.
The successful candidate will create a dynamic learning environment that develops students' listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in French while fostering cultural awareness, global citizenship, and academic excellence. The teacher will integrate biblical principles into instruction and encourage students to appreciate God's diverse creation through the study of language and culture.

Job Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
French Language Instruction
Teach French language courses to students in Kindergarten through Grade 12 as assigned.
Develop engaging lessons that promote proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing French.
Incorporate age-appropriate vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and conversational skills.
Utilize immersive language-learning strategies that encourage active communication.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of students.
Cultural and Global Awareness
Introduce students to the history, traditions, geography, and cultures of French-speaking countries.
Promote respect for cultural diversity and global perspectives.
Create opportunities for students to engage in authentic language and cultural experiences.
Integrate current events and real-world connections into instruction when appropriate.
Student Assessment and Achievement:
Assess student progress through projects, presentations, written assignments, conversations, and formal assessments.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student performance.
Provide timely feedback that supports student growth and language acquisition.
Monitor student achievement and implement interventions as needed.
Christian Leadership and Character Development:
Integrate biblical principles and Christian values into instruction and classroom interactions.
Model Christ-like behavior, integrity, and professionalism.
Encourage students to demonstrate respect, responsibility, perseverance, and servant leadership.
Participate in chapel services, prayer opportunities, and faith-based school activities.
Classroom Management and Student Support
Establish and maintain a positive, engaging, and orderly classroom environment.
Implement effective classroom management practices that support student success.
Promote student confidence and willingness to communicate in a second language.
Support the academic, social, and emotional growth of students.
Parent and Community Engagement:
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, open houses, and school events.
Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support school-wide goals and student success.
Professional Responsibilities:
Participate in faculty meetings, professional development activities, and school improvement initiatives.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and procedures.
Continue developing language proficiency and instructional expertise.
Perform other duties assigned by the Principal or School Administrator.
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in French, World Languages, Education, or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency in spoken and written French.
Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with students across multiple grade levels.
Preferred Qualifications
Florida Teaching Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in French (K–12) or World Languages.
Previous French teaching experience.
Experience in a Christian or private school environment.
Experience teaching multiple grade levels.
Knowledge of second-language acquisition best practices.

Essential Requirements:
o Level II background screening clearance
o Ability to speak for long periods of time
o Possess a strong passion for working with children.
o Must be reliable and able to maintain acceptable attendance.
o Must be coachable and willing to grow professionally
o Must be an active team player.
o Creative problem-solving
Applicants must have the ability to participate in tasks that require moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds).
Hours of work may vary. Typical schedules are set between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
