Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Warehouse Worker is responsible for assembling, packing, and shipping floral productsincluding bouquets, greenery, and finished arrangements such as centerpieces, wreaths, garland, and buncheswhile ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with Continental Floral Greens standards. This role supports all steps from receiving to outbound logistics in a cooler/production environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sort, trim, and repack flowers and greens according to product specifications.
Bunch flowers and greens for packaging or further processing, ensuring consistency in weight and size.
Read production tickets and assemble floral products per specifications (recipes, stem counts, seasonal SKUs).
Sleeve, band, or box product; apply hydration packs and correct labeling (UPC, lot, date).
Pick, palletize, shrink-wrap, and load outbound shipments safely; complete shipping documentation in WMS/ERP.
Operate lift trucks, hand trucks, and stretch wrap banders, automation equipment as needed.
Trained personnel may operate forklifts and electric pallet jacks in accordance with company safety policies and required certifications.
Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and proper rotation (FIFO).
Work in refrigerated environments (3445F) and follow cold-chain SOPs.
Adhere to safety protocols, use PPE, and maintain clean work areas.
Support cross-functional tasks during peak seasons and overtime as needed.
Inspect flowers and greens for freshness and quality before packing or arranging.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, and adhere to company policies.
Participate in orientation and training sessions on workplace rules and safety.
Contributes to a positive team dynamic through respectful interactions, positive contributions, and active collaboration to achieve department and organizational goals.
Incorporates Continental Floral Greens vision, mission and values in day-to-day activities and behaviors; guides and motivates others to remain committed to CFGs vision mission and values.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
Experience in production, agriculture, floriculture or similar industry.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
Manual dexterity and ability to perform repetitive tasks efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work performed in production and warehouse environments.
