Summer Groundskeeper/Maintenance Assistant

Position Title: Summer Groundskeeper

Organization: Rocky View Foundation (RVF)

Location: Rocky View Lodge

Reports to: Lodge Manager

Schedule: 9 AM - 4:30 PM (7 hours paid) Monday through Friday

Canada Summer Jobs position approved for 9 weeks

Position Summary:

The Summer Groundskeeper is responsible under the direction of the Maintenance Manager that the property remains in good condition and assists with maintenance tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Groundskeeping:

• Maintain the grounds of the building using motorized equipment and manual tools.

1. Repairs and Troubleshooting:

• Assist Maintenance Manager as needed with maintenance repairs.

1. Safety and Compliance:

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Conduct regular equipment inspections and ensure any concerns are reported.

1. Administrative Tasks:

• Keep accurate records of maintenance requests and completed work.
• Keep accurate reporting of any issues or concerns.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• Previous experience in landscaping and general maintenance.
• Skills:
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical stamina to handle manual labour and work in various weather conditions.
