We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager for a temporary assignment of approximately eight (8) weeks to provide leadership and oversight of facility maintenance operations during a transitional period. This position offers an opportunity to make an immediate impact by ensuring the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of our facility.
Position SummaryThe Temporary Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance department and ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the facility's physical plant, building systems, equipment, and grounds. This position will provide hands-on leadership, manage preventive maintenance activities, coordinate repairs, and support regulatory compliance throughout the assignment.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced maintenance professional who can quickly assess operational needs, lead maintenance staff, and maintain continuity of services in a healthcare environment.

- Oversees the maintenance, repair, and operation of facility buildings, equipment, grounds, and environmental systems.
- Conducts facility inspections and addresses maintenance concerns in a timely manner.
- Performs maintenance and repair projects or coordinates qualified contractors and vendors when necessary.
- Directs and participates in maintenance activities involving HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
- Maintains and executes preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensures continuous operation of critical building systems including heating, ventilation, electrical power, water, gas, emergency generators, and life safety systems.
- Assists with regulatory compliance activities related to life safety, emergency preparedness, and environmental services.
- Monitors maintenance expenditures and manages departmental resources effectively.
- Maintains maintenance logs, inspection records, and required compliance documentation.
- Evaluates facility equipment and recommends repairs, replacements, or operational improvements.
- Supervises maintenance personnel and provides daily direction, support, and accountability.
- Maintains attractive, safe, and well-kept facility grounds.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives and facility projects as needed.
- Ensures punctuality and reliable attendance throughout the assignment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Adheres to Cascadia Healthcare policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Supports a culture of safety, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
- Participates in annual fire life safety, water management, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
- Working knowledge of healthcare facility operations and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards, life safety regulations, and workplace safety practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and develop practical solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to urgent facility needs.
- Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
All employees of Cascadia Healthcare are required to successfully complete and clear all applicable pre-employment screenings, including state and federal background checks, prior to working in the facility.
Requirements: Education- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical school, trade school, or vocational training in maintenance-related fields preferred.
- Valid driver's license required.
- HVAC, electrical, boiler, or related certifications preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of building maintenance experience required.
- Previous supervisory or management experience preferred.
- Experience in healthcare, skilled nursing, assisted living, or long-term care settings strongly preferred.
