Compensation: The initial pay range for this position upon commencement of employment is projected to fall between $62.50 and $78.12. However, the offered base pay may be subject to adjustments based on various individualized factors, such as the candidate's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience. Position Summary:
The IT Director is responsible for leading the organization's IT strategy, infrastructure, and security to support business objectives and ensure operational efficiency. This role oversees IT systems, cybersecurity, data management, and technology solutions while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The IT Director provides leadership to the IT team, drives innovation, and aligns technology initiatives with organizational goals.
Requirements:Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Lead IT operational planning and contribute to the development of strategic technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals, clinical operations, and MSO business needs.
• Prioritize and manage IT initiatives and project portfolios related to infrastructure, systems implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Support evaluation, selection, implementation, and ongoing optimization of technology systems that improve operational efficiency, data access, and service delivery.
• Partner with executive and operational leadership to ensure alignment of IT initiatives with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in post-implementation support planning and ensure successful adoption and stabilization of new systems and technologies.
• Provide leadership and oversight of IT services, systems, and daily operations supporting MSO business functions, including core infrastructure, onsite systems, and
remote/alternate site connectivity.
• Oversee the performance and availability of critical communication systems, including telecommunications, email, voicemail, and related collaboration platforms.
• Lead and develop IT teams, including infrastructure, help desk/support services, application support, and technical business support resources, ensuring consistent service delivery and accountability.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance management to direct reports and vendor-supported staff to ensure alignment with organizational goals and service standards.
• Direct local IT support and service desk operations, ensuring timely resolution of issues and high-quality end-user support experience.
• Participate as a key member of the organizational information security and compliance structure, working closely with compliance, privacy, and security leadership.
• Ensure IT systems, processes, and controls support compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support and maintain alignment with HITRUST certification requirements, ensuring systems, documentation, and security controls meet established framework standards.
• Enforce IT policies and procedures designed to protect organizational data, including PHI, and ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems.
• Support security risk management activities, audits, and remediation efforts in collaboration with compliance and security stakeholders.
• Oversee the reliability, maintenance, and enhancement of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
• Manage vendor relationships and contracted IT service providers, ensuring performance standards, service level agreements (SLAs), and contractual obligations are met.
• Maintain awareness of technology trends, pricing, and vendor solutions to support cost effective and scalable IT operations.
• Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on operational needs, cost-benefit analysis, and organizational standards.
• Approve, prioritize, and oversee IT projects and initiatives within the MSO IT portfolio.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate across departments to ensure alignment, visibility, and communication throughout project lifecycles.
• Support post-go-live stabilization, issue resolution, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Contribute to the development and management of IT operational and capital budgets within the MSO.
• Monitor IT expenditures, resource utilization, and project costs to ensure financial efficiency and alignment with organizational priorities.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses to support technology investment decisions and infrastructure planning.
• Partner with operational, clinical, compliance, and administrative leaders to ensure IT services support organizational objectives.
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective communication and service delivery.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to ensure technology solutions are effectively integrated into business workflows.
• Support the development and maintenance of IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans for MSO operations.
• Ensure systems and infrastructure are designed to support operational resilience and continuity of care and services.
• Coordinate recovery efforts and system restoration activities in the event of outages or disruptions.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of IT leadership experience, with a strong background in IT infrastructure, security, and strategic planning.
• Proven expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and healthcare regulatory compliance, including support for HITRUST-aligned environments and certification maintenance requirements.
• Experience working within or supporting organizations subject to HITRUST certification standards, HIPAA Security Rule requirements, and other healthcare compliance frameworks.
• Experience managing IT budgets, vendor negotiations, and technology procurement.
• Strong leadership, project management, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities to bridge technical solutions with business needs.
• Hands-on experience with cloud computing, enterprise software, and cybersecurity technologies.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL are a plus.
