Job Summary
The Sales Team Leader provides leadership and direction for the company's sales strategy, driving revenue growth and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This role oversees the sales team and Sales & Closing Coordinator, ensuring each function and department operates seamlessly to support sales objectives. The Sales Leader partners with internal Marketing leadership and external advertising agencies to develop targeted campaigns, drive traffic to communities, and align marketing strategies with the unique demographics of each market. This position is responsible for achieving sales goals, strengthening broker and realtor relationships, and fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and performance excellence.
Essential Responsibilities

Develop and execute the company's overall sales strategy to achieve revenue, margin, and market share goals.
Lead, manage, and hold accountable the sales team, Sales & Closing Coordinator to ensure division-wide success.
Partner with Marketing leadership and external advertising/marketing agencies to:
Design and implement campaigns and events that drive qualified traffic to communities.
Analyze demographics, market trends, and community-specific needs to tailor marketing and sales strategies.
Ensure sales initiatives are fully supported with the right marketing resources.
Oversee CRM systems and reporting to ensure accuracy, follow-up consistency, and pipeline visibility.
Build and strengthen relationships with brokers, realtors, and external partners to enhance brand awareness and referral networks.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer insights; adjust sales and marketing strategies accordingly.
Champion sales training and professional development programs for the sales team and support roles to ensure product knowledge, compliance, and service excellence.
Provide accurate sales forecasting, pipeline analysis, and performance reporting to executive leadership.
Ensure compliance with contracts, pricing structures, and regulatory requirements while maintaining alignment with company standards and values.
Uphold the company's Core Values and promote Great Game of Business principles across the Sales division.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly oversee:
Sales team
Sales & Closing Coordinator
Responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and retaining high-performing sales professionals.
Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action as needed.
Overall Company Requirement
Strict adherence to our internal processes (The Road Home) guide is required.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (preferred).
8+ years of progressive experience in residential home sales, with at least 3+ years in a senior leadership role.
Demonstrated success in leading sales teams, achieving revenue goals, and managing cross-functional teams.
OR
Equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge and skills.

Conditions of Employment

Provide valid proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Possess a valid Texas driver's license within 30 days of employment.
Tools & Equipment Used
Use of laptop, iPad, webcam, phone, copier, and other standard office equipment.
Occasional use of safety apparel (hard hats, boots, goggles) when visiting construction sites.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Work Environment
Work performed primarily in an office environment with regular onsite visits to communities, sales offices, and construction sites.
Reliable transportation is required for travel to communities and closings.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Regular use of hands, wrists, and fingers for data entry and document handling.
Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Adequate vision, hearing, and communication to perform essential functions.
Work Schedule & Travel
Standard work hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week).
Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required for events, meetings, and team/customer needs.
Travel for company events or inter-region collaboration.
Meetings and events may occasionally occur outside of standard work hours.
Flexibility required to respond to new leads outside of standard hours.
Office provided in Roanoke.
