This role sits at the core of a highly data-driven product organization focused on large-scale knowledge sharing and AI-powered experiences. You will own high-impact, ambiguous problem spaces that shape product direction, user growth, and long-term strategy across a global platform. Working in a remote-first and highly collaborative environment, you will partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate complex questions into rigorous analytical frameworks. The role combines deep statistical expertise with strong product intuition, enabling meaningful decisions across experimentation, personalization, and monetization. You will also contribute to advancing data science practices across the organization through mentorship and thought leadership. This is a high-ownership position where your insights directly influence millions of users and the evolution of AI-native products.
- Own complex, high-impact analytical and product problem spaces end-to-end, including framing questions, designing analyses, and driving implementation with cross-functional teams
- Partner with product, engineering, design, and leadership stakeholders to shape product strategy and anticipate future opportunities and risks
- Design, execute, and evaluate A/B tests and randomized experiments to measure product and business impact
- Investigate data across multiple domains to identify root causes of metric changes and uncover user behavior insights
- Develop scalable analytical frameworks, tools, and methodologies that improve data-driven decision-making across teams
- Mentor other data scientists and help raise the bar for technical rigor, experimentation quality, and analytical best practices
- 7+ years of experience in analytical or quantitative roles, including 5+ years in data science or equivalent senior/staff-level positions
- Strong expertise in statistical methods such as regression, hypothesis testing, and causal inference applied to real-world product decisions
- Proven ability to lead complex, open-ended data problems with significant ownership across product or business domains
- Experience working with large datasets and using Python, R, or similar languages for analysis, modeling, and production workflows
- Demonstrated ability to design experiments and interpret results in fast-moving product environments
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate ambiguity into clear analytical approaches and present insights to executives
- Experience mentoring data scientists and improving team-level data practices and standards
