This role is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, readiness, and continuous improvement of large-scale, mission-critical AI infrastructure environments. You will sit at the intersection of facilities operations, construction, commissioning, and technical engineering teams, helping bring next-generation data center campuses into stable production. The position requires strong operational leadership combined with deep technical understanding of electrical, mechanical, and cooling systems. You will play a key role in maintaining uptime, safety, and performance across rapidly scaling infrastructure. The environment is fast-moving, high-impact, and requires confident decision-making under pressure. You will also contribute to shaping operational standards and processes that support global infrastructure growth. This is a highly visible role with direct influence on reliability and scalability outcomes.
- Lead day-to-day operations of mission-critical facility systems, ensuring high availability, safety, and performance across AI infrastructure environments.
- Own operational readiness and transition activities from construction and commissioning into stable production operations.
- Develop and continuously improve maintenance programs, operating procedures, incident response playbooks, and escalation frameworks.
- Manage infrastructure incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve long-term reliability.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal engineering teams to execute maintenance, upgrades, and infrastructure changes.
- Monitor system performance, capacity utilization, and operational risks across electrical, mechanical, and controls systems.
- Support team development, training, staffing, and cross-functional alignment across infrastructure stakeholders.
- 8+ years of experience in facilities operations, data centers, industrial systems, or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, cooling infrastructure, and building management systems.
- Proven experience leading operational readiness, commissioning support, or infrastructure turnover processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage vendors, and coordinate complex operational activities in high-pressure environments.
- Experience building maintenance strategies, reliability programs, and structured operational procedures.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with rapidly evolving infrastructure needs.
