Director, CRM

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Director, CRM in United States.

This is a senior marketing leadership role responsible for shaping and scaling a high-volume, data-driven CRM program across email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing channels. You will own the strategy and execution of customer engagement initiatives that directly drive revenue growth across a large and complex e-commerce ecosystem. The role blends strategic leadership with hands-on operational ownership, including oversight of segmentation, personalization, testing, and platform performance. You will manage a high-scale messaging environment while ensuring efficiency, compliance, and strong customer experience. Acting as both a strategic architect and execution driver, you will partner cross-functionally with product, analytics, creative, and growth teams. This position is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and is motivated by building and scaling impactful customer lifecycle programs.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and lead the CRM strategy across email and SMS channels, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and revenue goals
  • Own lifecycle journey design, segmentation strategy, and campaign orchestration across multiple customer touchpoints
  • Manage CRM calendar planning and execution, ensuring effective alignment with promotional and commercial priorities
  • Oversee testing roadmap development, including experimentation design, performance analysis, and optimization prioritization
  • Monitor messaging volume, platform usage, and budget efficiency to ensure optimal performance and cost control
  • Lead analysis of CRM performance metrics on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to inform strategic decisions
  • Manage vendor relationships, including ESP platforms, and participate in performance evaluation and contract discussions
  • Lead and develop a small CRM team, supporting growth, performance, and capability building
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with analytics, product, creative, and growth teams to ensure integrated execution
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience in email and SMS marketing within eCommerce, DTC, or retail environments
  • Proven experience leading and developing marketing or CRM teams
  • Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, segmentation, personalization, and customer engagement strategies
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Zeta or similar ESP experience strongly preferred)
  • Working knowledge of HTML for email and familiarity with CRM development workflows
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Looker or similar BI platforms
  • Ability to interpret large datasets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies
  • Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and creative sensibility
  • Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-volume environments with shifting priorities
Benefits:
  • Remote-first work environment with flexibility across the United States
  • Competitive salary range of $150,000–$180,000, plus potential bonuses and additional compensation elements
  • Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions from employer (where applicable)
  • Flexible PTO policy (“take what you need” approach) and paid holidays
  • Wellness benefits and annual support for home office, internet, and mobile expenses
  • Employee discounts and product perks, including family and friends benefits
  • Equity and/or bonus eligibility depending on role and performance.
