Job Description

Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Full Stack

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Forward Deployed Software Engineer, Full Stack in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, healthcare technology, and client-facing delivery, where you will bring a real-time clinical AI platform into production within complex healthcare environments. You will act as a technical lead embedded in enterprise client implementations, directly integrating systems with electronic health records (EHRs) to enable data-driven clinical decision-making at the point of care. The work is highly cross-functional, requiring close collaboration with clinical experts, product teams, data scientists, and client success stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery and measurable impact. Beyond implementation, you will help shape the scalability of the forward deployed engineering function by building tooling, automation, and repeatable integration frameworks. This is a high-impact, mission-driven environment where engineering work directly contributes to improving patient outcomes and saving lives. The role combines hands-on full-stack development with system design, client interaction, and strategic problem-solving in fast-moving enterprise healthcare settings.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end technical delivery of enterprise client implementations, including EHR integration strategy, planning, execution, and deployment
  • Design and build full-stack applications and integration layers that connect clinical AI systems with healthcare client environments
  • Develop internal frameworks, automation tools, and reusable components to improve deployment speed, scalability, and implementation efficiency
  • Create and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure reliability, performance, and seamless system integration in production environments
  • Collaborate closely with Client Success, Clinical, Product, and Data Science teams to align technical solutions with clinical and operational needs
  • Produce clear technical design proposals, including architecture, specifications, implementation plans, and testing strategies
  • Contribute to forward deployed engineering team growth by partnering on hiring strategy and scaling best practices
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience as a forward deployed, full-stack, or client-facing software engineer in production environments
  • Strong experience building and deploying full-stack applications (React and TypeScript preferred) in enterprise or customer-facing settings
  • Solid background in system design, technical documentation, and presenting architecture and implementation plans to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or equivalent) and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with enterprise clients and cross-functional internal teams
  • Experience integrating or working within complex systems environments is highly valued, especially in healthcare or regulated industries
  • Exposure to EHR integration, SMART on FHIR standards, or health data interoperability is a strong plus
  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to operate independently in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation package with full-time employment structure
  • Remote-first work model within the United States
  • Opportunity to work on mission-critical healthcare systems improving patient outcomes
  • Exposure to cutting-edge clinical AI and real-world healthcare data systems
  • Collaborative, cross-functional environment with clinicians, engineers, and data scientists
  • Strong growth opportunity in an early-stage, high-impact engineering function
  • Inclusive workplace culture with equal opportunity employment practices
  • Work on systems that directly contribute to healthcare innovation and real-world impact
