About the Role

Grasten Power Technologies is growing its Dallas branch and is looking for an experienced, hands-on Lead Generator Installer – Branch Lead to help lead the way.

This is an installer-first leadership position. Most of your time will be spent in the field leading a crew through residential standby generator installations from set to startup. You will also take on growing branch responsibilities, including job preparation, inspection coordination, inventory, branch organization, and communication with the Head of Installs.

As our Dallas operation grows, this position offers a clear opportunity to advance into broader branch leadership.

What You'll DoLead Generator Installations
  • Lead an installation crew on residential standby generator projects and take ownership of each installation from start to finish.
  • Complete generator installations of varying difficulty while meeting company quality, safety, and code standards.
  • Direct, train, and coach Generator Install Technicians and Helpers.
  • Delegate work effectively while developing the skills of your crew.
  • Ensure proper morning load-out procedures are followed and crews leave prepared for each job.
  • Take and review completed-installation photos before leaving the jobsite.
  • Identify and resolve installation issues while minimizing callbacks.
  • Complete callbacks promptly when needed.
  • Communicate job progress and next steps with customers and the Head of Installs.
  • Maintain a professional presence on every jobsite and provide an excellent customer experience.
Support Dallas Branch Operations

As the Dallas branch continues to grow, you will gradually take on additional branch coordination responsibilities with support from the Head of Installs, including:

  • Prepare upcoming jobs in company software and communicate daily plans to the installation crew.
  • Schedule same-day or next-day inspections with local inspection agencies.
  • Coordinate electrical disconnects and reconnects with the Install Coordinator.
  • Review upcoming installations two to three weeks in advance to identify potential site, equipment, or material issues.
  • Maintain an organized and clean office, warehouse, company vehicles, and equipment.
  • Complete branch inventory orders and submit them to Purchasing as scheduled.
  • Assist Permitting, Sales, Administration, and Service teams when branch support is needed.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with the Head of Installs to review branch performance, upcoming needs, and opportunities for improvement.

The progression may include:

Lead Installer – Branch Lead: Lead your installation crew while developing branch coordination experience.

Senior Lead – New Branch: Oversee installation operations at the branch, manage Lead Installers and crews, and report to territory leadership.

Branch Coordinator: Oversee branch installation operations, scheduling, logistics, and development of future Lead Installers as the branch reaches the appropriate size.

You will receive ongoing coaching from the Head of Installs and will be expected to help develop and mentor other members of the installation team.

Requirements: What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Proven experience leading residential standby generator installations, including electrical tie-in and gas connection.
  • Strong working knowledge of generator installation processes across varying levels of difficulty.
  • Previous experience leading a crew, assigning work, training team members, and maintaining quality standards.
  • Strong communication skills with customers, inspectors, field employees, and office teams.
  • Comfortable using scheduling and job-management software on a smartphone or tablet.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy equipment with assistance.
  • Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and on ladders as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Generac installation experience or certification.
  • Texas electrical license through TDLR and/or Texas Master Plumber license.
  • Previous experience coordinating inspections, permitting, or inventory.
  • Interest in developing into a larger branch leadership role.
