Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Snack Shop / Pool Attendant provides friendly, efficient food and beverage service to members and guests at the Club’s snack shop and pool areas. This fast-paced position requires anticipating member needs, preparing and serving food and beverages, operating the NorthStar POS system, maintaining a clean and appealing service area, and supporting beverage-cart coverage as needed. The individual in this role is expected to provide prompt, professional service while following Club standards, food-safety practices, and all applicable alcohol-service laws and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Member Service & Sales
• Provide immediate, courteous attention to members, guests, and patrons upon arrival.
• Recognize members whenever possible and address them professionally using the appropriate name and title.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and use suggestive selling when appropriate.
• Check membership information as required and ensure charges are posted to the correct member account.
• Present chits for signature, verify pricing, taxes, and gratuities, and process member and credit-card charges according to Club procedures.
• Thank members and guests for visiting and invite them to return.
Food & Beverage Preparation
• Brew coffee and tea and prepare hot dogs and other approved snack-shop menu items.
• Stock hot dogs, buns, wrappers, condiments, sandwiches, beverages, snacks, and other supplies needed for daily service.
• Maintain product rotation and portion-control practices to minimize food waste.
• Follow all local and state laws and Club policies regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
• Maintain working knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and other products offered in the assigned service area.
POS, Cash Handling & Operational Support
• Operate the NorthStar POS system to enter orders, complete chits, and process charges accurately.
• Maintain neat and orderly service and storage areas throughout the shift.
• Assist with distribution of employee meals to Cart Barn staff when assigned.
• Fill in on the beverage cart and safely operate the beverage cart when business needs require.
• Promptly advise Food & Beverage Management of member complaints, service concerns, shortages, or operational issues.
Opening, Closing & Cleanliness
• Maintain the snack shop and pool service areas in a clean, organized, and visually appealing condition.
• Complete opening, restocking, cleaning, and closing duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and pressed uniform and meet Club grooming and personal-hygiene standards.
• Follow sanitation, food-safety, workplace-safety, and Club operating procedures at all times.
• Perform other appropriate duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
• Previous food and beverage, hospitality, snack-bar, pool, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Experience with a point-of-sale system preferred; ability to learn NorthStar POS is required.
• Must be able and willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, based on Club operations.
• Must meet all legal requirements applicable to the service of alcoholic beverages.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Prolonged standing, walking, and periods of stooping or bending throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, including pool and golf-course service environments and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely operate a beverage cart when assigned.
