Job Title: Warehouse Associate
FLSA Status (Exempt or Non-Exempt): Non-Exempt
Division & Department: GBS BrandConnect, Distribution Center
Reports To: Director of DC Operations
POSITION SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the BrandConnect Distribution Center through the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of materials and customer orders. This role performs a variety of warehouse functions, including receiving, shipping, order fulfillment, inventory management, kitting, and material handling. Team members are expected to cross-train and provide support in multiple warehouse functions as business needs require.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Shipping & Order Fulfillment
- Pick, pack, stage, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule.
- Verify product quantities, item numbers, and shipping documentation.
- Prepare shipments according to customer and carrier requirements.
- Load outbound shipments safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all shipping paperwork is completed accurately.
Receiving & Inventory
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify inbound materials.
- Compare incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Report damaged or missing materials promptly.
- Put away inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Warehouse Operations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse work areas.
- Follow established work instructions, quality standards, and operating procedures.
- Utilize inventory management and warehouse systems to complete daily work.
- Assist with product movement throughout the warehouse.
- Support kitting, assembly, labeling, or special projects as assigned.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse functions to provide operational flexibility.
- Assist other warehouse team members during peak workloads.
Safety & Quality
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Immediately report safety concerns, equipment issues, inventory discrepancies, or process concerns.
- Maintain quality standards while meeting productivity expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Requirements)
· High school diploma or equivalent.
· Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, fulfillment, or manufacturing experience preferred.
· Ability to obtain and maintain certification on material handling equipment.
· Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management systems.
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
· Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
· Strong communication and teamwork skills.
· Demonstrates dependability, accountability, and a positive attitude.
· Willingness to learn multiple warehouse functions and adapt to changing priorities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Frequently stand and walk throughout the shift.
· Frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and twist.
· Lift and carry up to 60 pounds on a regular basis.
· Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
· Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
