Join Our Growing Team as a full-time Pool Technician at Richman Property Services (RPS), Inc., in Spring Hill/Brooksville, FL!
Are you a community-inspired, passion-driven individual ready to make a meaningful impact? Richman Property Services, Inc. is currently seeking a full time Pool Technician to join and support our Maintenance Team in Spring Hill/Brooksville, FL area properties.
Position: Pool Technician
Location: The Pool Technician will support multiple properties in this area, full time, 40 hours per week. We are hiring for multiple shifts which will be discussed during the interview process.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 3 or more year's experience as a Maintenance Technician in the multi-family residential industry, prior "Floating" experience (or working several properties) preferred
- Certified Pool Operator's license (CPO), and EPA I & II or EPA Universal required
- Valid/active Driver's License required
- Bilingual English/Spanish speaking applicants preferred

Position Summary:
- Responsible for the cleaning and upkeep of swimming pools, spas, equipment, decks, enclosures, and other pool-related equipment while ensuring safe and compliant practices at all assigned pools.

Responsibilities:
- Comply with all local, county, and state ordinances governing the maintenance and operation of swimming pools and spas.
- Follow Richman Property Services (RPS) Swimming Pool Policy
- Inspect and ensure that all pool areas are fenced, and all pool gates are equipped with automatic self-latching closures, and that they are in working order.
- Ensure Vac Pac systems are locked when not in service.
- Ensure pool rules are posted in full view and in good condition.
- Inspect all required safety equipment (shepherd’s hook, ring buoy) to ensure they are easily accessible and in good condition.
- Ensure NO DIVING signs are clearly posted and stenciled on the pool deck.
- Test pool chemicals (Chlorine, PH, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, and TDS) and record on the RPS Swimming Pool Log upon every visit.
- Cleans filters, vacuums, sweeps the surface and tiles, and cleans and inspects all other pool-related equipment and areas.
- Making repairs to pool-related equipment when necessary.• Ensure pool drains are in good repair and in compliance with VGA.
- Recording all findings on the RPS Daily Pool Inspection, which is located in AppWork.
Requirements:
Education:
- A high school diploma or a General Educational Development (GED) certificate is required; a trade or technical school education or industry-related courses are preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience as a Maintenance Technician.
Skills & Certifications:
- Current Driver's License (active)
- Knowledge in maintenance, including swimming pool maintenance and water chemical balance, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, as well as the use of power tools.
- Able to assess damage and estimate the cost of repair for pool-related items.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws; Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws; Record Keeping, organization. Current CPO (Certified Pool Operator) License required.
- Able to work with minimal supervision; Must own tools where applicable.
- Skills & Certification: The following skills are required: Ability to speak, listen, read, and write English with sufficient proficiency to maintain a safe environment, which is a business necessity, as further detailed above.
- Truck ownership preferred
