Maintenance Electrician

Zentis is Europe's number one fruit processing company and one of the leading brand manufacturers of jams, sweets and custard-based desserts. Our manufacturing facility, located in Philadelphia Pennsylvania, produces value added fruit and dairy preparations for a variety of customers including yogurt, ice cream and bakery manufacturers is looking for a Maintenance Electrician for 2nd shift 2:00pm-10:00pm. The position is a Union position.

Job Overview

• Primary responsibility is to keep all facilities equipment, production equipment and the building in safe and working order
• To troubleshoot, maintain, repair and/or replace (whole or in part) all equipment, machinery, apparatus, electronic components and electrical systems so that the production of quality goods is uninterrupted or with minimal down time
• Interacts with plant management and production supervisors

Primary Responsibilities:

• Maintain production equipment.
• Perform PM tasks on production equipment.
• Perform various electrical tasks.
• Maintain building equipment.
• Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Formal Education requirements

• Certified Electrician - completion of an apprenticeship program or electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is essential.

Skills and abilities required:

• Ability to organize, prioritize and execute assigned tasks.
• Electrical troubleshooting skills & knowledge on 24v – 480v systems and components.
• PLC and control knowledge – Siemens and or Rockwell Allen Bradley.
• Motor & Motor control knowledge.
• Understanding operation manuals and schematics.
• Good people skills.
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook, SAP.

Physical responsibilities:

• At times will be required to perform equipment repairs in difficult, tight, and awkward areas.
• Lift equipment and parts weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Work at heights up to 30 feet may be required.
• Must be able to work in hot or cold environments.
