Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Develops engaging and effective training content and curriculum for staff and community workshops, using instructional design principles. The Instructional Designer works closely with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy and relevance of course materials, incorporating a variety of multimedia elements such as online modules, videos, and interactive resources to enhance the learning experience. This role is responsible for evaluating and revising training materials based on participant feedback and assessment outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with organizational goals. Additionally, the Instructional Designer maintains an organized library of training resources and stays current with best practices and emerging trends in instructional design to support innovative and impactful learning solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Design interactive, learner-centered training materials.

Contributes to storyboarding, authoring and development of e-learning content, and blended learning solutions as well as multimedia resources.

Collaborate with cross department partners and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.

Develop online modules, videos, and multimedia resources.

Desings and develops supporting aides for print, classroom and on-the-job training materials.

Aligns training materials, curriculum, and guides with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Manages timelines, schedules, resources and deliverables for instructional design projects.

Manages independent content development projects.

Evaluate and revise training materials for effectiveness.

Analyze learner feedback and performance data to continuously refine instructional strategies.

Maintains a training content library.

Stay updated on instructional design best practices.

Accomplishes organization mission by completing related assignments as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

* Bachelor s degree or specialized certifications in Instructional Design, Education, or related field.

* 3+ years of experience designing training content and curriculum.

* Proficiency with e-learning authoring tools and multimedia design.

* Technologically proficient in understanding digital tools, training design & authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Canva), virtual collaboration tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

* Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Bloom s Taxonomy).

* Experience collaborating with subject matter experts.

* Strong project management and organizational skills.

* Experience managing multiple training projects simultaneously.

* Ability to evaluate and revise training materials based on feedback and outcomes

* Must have a valid driver s license, ability to be insured under the company s vehicle
