This senior business development role will lead the strategy for acquiring high-value partnerships across the transportation and trucking ecosystem.
You will build scalable go-to-market channels through fleet payments, transportation management systems, telematics, fuel networks, and industry associations.
The role is focused on creating a powerful one-to-many growth engine by leveraging partner networks, fleet portfolios, and member communities.
You will own complex enterprise partnership deals from prospecting and negotiation through signing, onboarding, and early performance.
Working closely with Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Partner Success, you will turn strategic relationships into measurable revenue opportunities.
The position requires strong financial acumen, executive-level relationship building, and a deep understanding of the transportation and fleet landscape.

The Partner Acquisition Lead will own the transportation partnership acquisition strategy, developing relationships with major ecosystem players and converting those relationships into scalable revenue channels.
- Develop and execute the partnership acquisition strategy for the transportation vertical.
- Identify, prioritize, and engage high-value organizations across fleet payment and fuel networks, transportation management systems, telematics, ELD providers, and industry associations.
- Source, structure, negotiate, and close complex partnership agreements with enterprise-level organizations.
- Build partnerships that leverage fleet portfolios, carrier networks, member bases, and other distribution channels to generate significant new business.
- Cultivate trusted relationships with C-suite executives, partnership leaders, and other senior stakeholders throughout acquisition and onboarding.
- Develop compelling business cases that demonstrate mutual value, ROI, operational efficiency, and revenue potential for partners and their customers.
- Collaborate with Partner Success, Partner Marketing, and Partner Programs to onboard newly signed partners and maintain momentum after contract execution.
- Drive partner-referred opportunities and ensure newly established relationships translate into measurable commercial results.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to launch and support new partnerships.
- Coordinate integration initiatives with transportation management systems, fleet payment platforms, and other relevant technology partners when required.
- Track and report key partnership KPIs, including active pipeline opportunities, opportunity value, signed partners, and revenue generated.
- Provide leadership with regular visibility into partnership performance, pipeline health, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Continuously identify new partnership models, distribution opportunities, and ecosystem relationships that can accelerate growth within the transportation vertical.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a strategic and commercially minded business development leader with a strong track record of closing complex enterprise partnerships and creating scalable growth through partner ecosystems.
- 7–10+ years of experience in enterprise sales or business development, with a proven record of selling SaaS, fintech, technology, or related solutions.
- Demonstrated mastery of one-to-many sales and partnership models that scale through a partner's network, portfolio, customer base, or membership community.
- Proven experience structuring and closing complex, high-value enterprise deals.
- Exceptional financial acumen and the ability to build compelling, data-driven business cases focused on ROI, operational efficiency, and value creation.
- Strong track record of developing relationships and closing agreements with C-suite executives and senior partnership stakeholders.
- Experience creating or scaling new go-to-market motions, partnership programs, or business development channels.
- Strong understanding of revenue generation, commercial strategy, pipeline development, and partnership economics.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias toward action and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work effectively across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Partner Success teams.
- Experience selling into transportation, trucking, logistics, or fleet operators is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with transportation platforms and services such as TMS, fleet cards, telematics, ELD, factoring, or related technologies is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of the trucking and fleet ecosystem, including carriers, owner-operators, brokers, shippers, and the workflows that support professional drivers, is highly valued.
- Ability to understand how lodging and travel fit into transportation and driver workflows is a strong advantage.

- Total OTE compensation of $220,000–$250,000 USD, including base salary and target variable compensation.
