This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SAP MDG Technical Consultant – Business Partner based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a major SAP transformation initiative within the global life sciences industry. You’ll provide deep technical expertise across SAP Master Data Governance, with a particular focus on Business Partner, Customer, and Supplier domains. The position covers the full technical lifecycle, from solution design and configuration through integration, migration, testing, and deployment. You’ll work across SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, collaborating with functional consultants, architects, developers, integration teams, and business stakeholders. The role also involves solving complex technical challenges and ensuring scalable, reliable master data solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to work on large-scale transformation programs in a collaborative, international environment. - Design, develop, configure, and technically implement SAP MDG solutions for the Business Partner domain, including Customer and Supplier master data.
- Translate functional requirements into robust technical solutions covering data models, workflows, validations, derivations, user interfaces, and replication.
- Develop and support BRF+ rules, MDG workflows, UI configurations, and replication frameworks.
- Design and implement integrations between SAP MDG Business Partner and SAP ECC/SAP S/4HANA environments, including Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI).
- Support SAP MDG migration, upgrade, and broader transformation programs.
- Design and execute data migration, mass upload, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.
- Support data integration and replication through MDG/DRF and connected SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, investigate defects, and support resolution throughout testing and deployment.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, SAP architects, business stakeholders, integration specialists, and development teams to deliver effective solutions.
- Support testing, user acceptance testing, deployment, cutover, and go-live activities.
- Ensure technical implementations align with SAP Clean Core principles and established architectural standards.
- 7–10+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3–5 years of hands-on SAP MDG technical experience.
- Strong technical expertise in SAP MDG Business Partner and a solid understanding of Customer, Supplier, and Business Partner data structures.
- Hands-on experience with MDG data models, workflows, BRF+, validations, derivations, UI configuration, and replication.
- Strong experience with Customer/Vendor Integration (CVI) and related integration scenarios.
- Practical experience working with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, including MDG migration, upgrade, or transformation programs.
- Experience designing and executing data migration, mass upload, validation, reconciliation, and error-handling processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, integration, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business and functional requirements into practical, scalable technical solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- SAP Master Data Governance certification is a plus.
- Experience with SAP MDG on S/4HANA, including co-deployed and hub deployment models, is desirable.
- Knowledge of MDG Consolidation and Mass Processing is an advantage.
- SAP Fiori experience is a plus.
- Understanding of SAP Clean Core architecture and experience with large-scale global S/4HANA transformation programs are desirable.
