Armed Security Guard in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama at T47 INTERNATIONAL, INC.

T47 International is seeking professional Armed Security Guards to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS) mission at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. FPS is responsible for protecting federally owned and leased facilities, personnel, and visitors while ensuring a safe and secure environment for federal operations.

The Armed Security Guard serves as a visible security presence, protecting client property and personnel through deterrence, observation, access control, reporting, and emergency response. Candidates must be capable of working a rotating schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions

• Protect federal facilities, personnel, visitors, and assets.
• Conduct armed patrols of assigned locations.
• Monitor and control access to facilities and restricted areas.
• Conduct personnel, vehicle, and property inspections as required.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and security threats.
• Enforce security regulations and site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accountability of controlled and lost-and-found property.
• Prepare accurate reports, logs, and incident documentation.
• Maintain situational awareness and communicate effectively with supervisors and emergency responders.
• Support FPS mission requirements and security operations.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum two (2) years of armed security experience.
• Two (2) years of military, law enforcement, corrections, or related security experience.
• U.S. Citizenship or proof of naturalization.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to meet all firearms qualification requirements.
• Active Top Secret Clearance with favorable Tier 5 investigation required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior FPS, DHS, or federal contract security experience.
• Military or law enforcement background.
• Strong report-writing and communication skills.
