POSITION SUMMARY
You will oversee all aspects of nightclub operations for our newest location in downtown Nashville– Dusk Nightclub and Upstairs at ZUZU Nashville. The Manager will manage staff, venue inventory and maintenance, and will work to promote the club and attract customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide inspirational leadership with an emphasis on operations, entertainment, hospitality, cleanliness, and sales/profitability.
• Know the clientele, champion the guest experience while addressing any guest concerns.
• Partner with finance to develop and manage budgets, aligning financial planning with revenue goals and cost control strategies.
• Collaborate with the marketing and events team to create and execute promotions, recruit top talent such as DJs, and drive attendance through strategic event planning.
• Hire, train and lead staff, prepare work schedules and delegate specific responsibilities.
• Ensuring security and staff are trained in procedures for managing conflict resolution.
• Ensure that events and promotions are properly planned and executed, while monitoring the safety of the guests and team members.
• Manage inventory, control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and recognition procedures in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Solicit guest feedback to understand guest needs and the needs of the local community.
• Utilize management information tools and analyzes financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in sales, promos, voids, labor costs, food costs and operational expenses.
• Ensure the company's policies and procedures are properly executed.
• Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21+ years of age.
• Minimum of 4 years of club management experience.
• Sales, promotion and event experience preferred.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership skills and sound business ethics.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
• Must be self-motivated and guest focused.
• Excellent organizational/time management skills.
• Results driven and able to meet deadlines.
• Familiar with touch screen POS systems including backend reports.
• Well versed in Inventory management and troubleshooting including food and beverage.
• Food safe certification and responsible alcohol training.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position is regularly required to stand, reach, bend and lift heavy objects. The noise level in the work environment is typically high.
• Stamina and Endurance: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the venue for long periods, often through late-night hours.
• Mobility: Agility to navigate crowded areas, moving between the bar, dance floor, and various sections of the nightclub.
• Strength: Capability to lift and carry light to moderately heavy items, such as bar supplies, furniture, or sound equipment (up to 30-50 pounds).
• Manual Dexterity: Skill in handling tasks like managing POS systems, cash handling, and overseeing equipment setup or breakdown.
• Good Vision and Hearing: Essential for monitoring the club environment, addressing guest issues, and communicating effectively in a noisy, dimly lit space.
• Calm Under Pressure: Ability to maintain composure in a high-energy, often stressful environment, especially during busy nights.
