This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Consultant – Public Health System Specialist based in India.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-impact public health initiatives by providing strategic and technical expertise in tuberculosis (TB) and health systems strengthening. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to support programme design, policy development, and evidence-based decision-making that improves health outcomes. Working in a remote and collaborative environment, you will help shape innovative public health strategies, develop high-quality technical documents, and strengthen national and regional health programmes. This position is ideal for an experienced public health professional who combines deep technical knowledge with strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Provide strategic and technical leadership on tuberculosis, health systems strengthening, digital health, and public health programme development.
- Review and synthesize evidence from policies, research, programme documents, implementation experiences, and stakeholder consultations to support informed decision-making.
- Develop and review technical proposals, concept notes, programme strategies, technical narratives, and other high-quality public health documentation.
- Ensure the quality, accuracy, and consistency of technical deliverables by consolidating inputs from multiple contributors and translating complex health concepts into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Facilitate technical consultations and stakeholder discussions that inform programme planning, implementation, and strategic direction.
- Support the preparation of operational frameworks, policy documents, programme reviews, and other knowledge products aligned with public health priorities.
- Contribute to documentation, proposal development, and additional technical assignments as required to support programme objectives.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, complemented by a Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Health Systems Management, Epidemiology, Health Policy, Health Informatics, Digital Health, Community Medicine, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in public health programmes, health systems strengthening, programme strategy, technical assistance, or implementation support.
- Demonstrated expertise in tuberculosis, infectious diseases, public health systems, and large-scale health programme implementation.
- Experience working with government health systems, development organizations, multilateral agencies, academic institutions, or implementing partners.
- Strong background in developing strategic plans, operational frameworks, technical guidance, policy documents, programme evaluations, and capacity-building initiatives.
- Solid understanding of surveillance systems, monitoring and evaluation, digital health, health information systems, and evidence-based decision-making.
- Proven experience in technical writing, proposal development, scientific publications, knowledge management, and the preparation of high-quality technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to synthesize complex technical information into practical recommendations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality outputs within demanding timelines.
