EMT in Lanse, Michigan at Union Ambulance District

Union Ambulance District is seeking certified EMT-Basics to deliver emergency medical care that preserves and stabilizes life functions prior to arrival at a medical facility. Under physician direction and District protocol, you will assess patient condition, establish treatment priorities, operate AEDs, perform CPR, assist in childbirth, and apply knowledge of anatomy, illness, and injury within your Missouri license scope.

Responsibilities include patient movement using various devices; driving the ambulance safely to and from scenes; completing the Missouri State Ambulance Reporting Form (MARF); and maintaining the vehicle in an exceptional state of readiness through daily inventory, fluid checks, and documentation of needed repairs. You will also share equally in crew housekeeping, rig restoration after runs, and public education efforts.

Qualifications:

Valid Missouri EMT-B license; CPR certification; valid driver's license. PHTLS or equivalent is required before the completion of the probationary period for fulltime positions. Requires strong communication skills, basic computer proficiency, and the physical ability to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds and carry heavy loads up stairs. Work involves exposure to outdoor conditions, fumes, noise, and infectious environments.
