This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced backend engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-native systems using Go.
The role focuses on developing high-performance services where concurrency, reliability, and operational excellence are critical.
You will contribute to distributed systems, infrastructure tooling, APIs, and internal platforms used across engineering teams.
The position offers the chance to influence architecture, improve engineering standards, and mentor other developers.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform complex technical challenges into robust solutions.
This remote role is ideal for a technically driven engineer who enjoys solving challenging systems problems and shipping production-grade software.
The Senior Go Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems while contributing to engineering excellence across the organization. This role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration, and a focus on building reliable, maintainable solutions.
- Design and implement high-performance backend services and APIs using Go, with a focus on concurrency, scalability, error handling, and resource efficiency.
- Develop cloud-native applications, Kubernetes-based tooling, CLI utilities, controllers, and custom operators using modern Go practices.
- Build and maintain gRPC and REST APIs with strong observability, security, and operational reliability.
- Analyze and optimize application performance through profiling, benchmarking, and data-driven improvements related to memory usage, garbage collection, latency, and throughput.
- Integrate services with messaging platforms and data stores, including technologies such as Kafka, NATS, PostgreSQL, Redis, and etcd.
- Create comprehensive automated testing strategies, including unit, integration, and performance testing.
- Implement monitoring capabilities through structured logging, metrics, and distributed tracing to support production reliability.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and design reviews while maintaining high engineering standards.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to shared libraries, internal tooling, reusable engineering patterns, and technical documentation.
- Stay current with developments in the Go ecosystem and identify opportunities to improve development practices and platform capabilities.
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced software engineer with deep expertise in Go development, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies. They should be comfortable working independently, solving complex technical problems, and collaborating within a fast-moving engineering environment.
