This Opportunity:
- Assist engineers with planning and design tasks, as well as field-based project oversight.
- Calculate dimensions and prepare detailed dimensional design layouts for projects.
- Interpret engineering designs and draft project information using software programs.
- Prepare drawings, schematics, and exhibits for project reports and plans.
- Calculate quantities and cost estimates for construction projects.
- Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to support compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
- Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, and project updates.
- Maintain accurate, timely project documentation and reporting.

Essential Qualifications:
- Two-year/Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related field, or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to document field activity clearly and accurately.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions and navigate rough terrain associated with construction sites.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to travel for project meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous civil design, construction inspection, or construction field experience.
- Experience supporting land development, municipal, civil infrastructure, transportation, or public works projects.
- Familiarity with construction documentation, quantity tracking, project reporting, and field observation practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD
