Position Summary
TM International is seeking a detail-oriented Digital Prepress Operator to join our Production team. This role is responsible for preparing customer artwork for print production, ensuring files meet quality standards, and supporting efficient manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has experience with digital prepress workflows, color management, Adobe Creative Cloud, and print production processes.
You will work closely with our Creative, Production, and Quality teams to ensure every project is production-ready while maintaining exceptional quality and meeting production deadlines.
Essential Responsibilities
Prepare customer artwork and production files for digital and conventional printing.
Review incoming artwork for accuracy, printability, and compliance with production specifications.
Perform preflight checks and troubleshoot file issues before production.
Create print-ready layouts, impositions, bleeds, crop marks, and trapping as needed.
Manage color correction and color profiles to ensure consistent print quality.
Operate and maintain digital prepress software and workflow systems.
Collaborate with designers, customer service, and production teams to resolve artwork issues.
Produce proofs for internal review and customer approval.
Ensure files meet company quality standards before printing.
Maintain organized digital file management and version control.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the prepress department.
Assist with process documentation and workflow improvements.
Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturing best practices.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, or related field preferred.
2+ years of digital prepress or print production experience.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Acrobat Professional
Strong understanding of:
CMYK and spot color processes
Color management
Digital printing
PDF workflows
File preparation and preflighting
Experience with RIP software and print workflow systems preferred.
Knowledge of large-format, flexographic, offset, or digital printing is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven manufacturing environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Visual acuity required for color matching and quality inspection.
Ability to work in a production/manufacturing environment.
