Job Description
The Sales & Service Specialist is the first point of contact for STRATA Networks customers in the Vernal, Utah, retail store, providing exceptional service and support through phone and in-person interactions. This role helps customers with billing questions, service requests, account changes, and product information while promoting STRATA’s products and services. The ideal candidate is a customer-focused team player with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create positive customer experiences.
Key ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you’ll:
• Assist customers with billing inquiries, new service requests, disconnects, and account changes.
• Process service applications, gather customer information, and complete required documentation.
• Review credit references for new customers and ensure accurate account setup.
• Process billing adjustments and service changes accurately and efficiently.
• Provide professional and welcoming support to customers by phone and in the retail office.
• Promote STRATA Networks products, services, and solutions.
• Develop knowledge of company offerings to better assist customers.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve customer service and company goals.
To be successful, you’ll need:
• High school diploma required; business degree or 2–5 years of customer service, sales, or retail experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and solve problems quickly.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to type 45 words per minute with 90% accuracy.
• Primarily office-based with regular customer interaction.
• Occasional travel between STRATA office locations may be required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
• Ability to read computer screens, reports, and customer documentation.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds.
