This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Strategy Manager, Customer Segment Strategy (Health Systems) based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to shape strategic access and contracting approaches that improve patient access while supporting sustainable business growth.

Accountabilities:

The Senior Strategy Manager will lead the development and execution of customer segment strategies, providing strategic guidance and market expertise to support access, contracting, and commercial objectives. This role requires the ability to navigate complex healthcare environments, influence senior stakeholders, and create solutions that balance customer needs with business priorities.

  • Develop access and contracting strategies across a broad portfolio of products, from initial concepts through implementation.
  • Provide strategic recommendations and analytical insights to customer engagement teams and market access leaders.
  • Act as a key connection point between account teams, pricing and contracting teams, legal partners, external affairs stakeholders, and business strategy groups.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives involving emerging customer segments, evolving market models, and innovative access approaches.
  • Support customer-facing teams with negotiation strategies, messaging, and preparation for strategic engagements.
  • Analyze contract performance, customer trends, and market dynamics to identify opportunities and share insights with senior leadership.
  • Partner with account leadership to strengthen strategic relationships, improve account planning, and address complex reimbursement challenges.
  • Monitor healthcare policy changes, industry trends, and customer evolution to anticipate risks and identify commercial opportunities.
  • Influence long-term strategy by providing data-driven recommendations and scalable solutions across customer segments.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will bring significant experience in healthcare strategy, market access, and customer-focused commercial initiatives. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, business judgment, communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across complex organizations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline required.
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare consulting, or related industry.
  • 5+ years of experience in market access functions, including payer strategy, contracting, reimbursement, managed care finance, or related areas.
  • Broad knowledge of the U.S. healthcare market access landscape across multiple therapeutic areas.
  • Strong expertise in pricing, contracting, distribution, and policy strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing customer access strategies.
  • Deep understanding of reimbursement environments and healthcare stakeholder dynamics.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and build alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify challenges, evaluate opportunities, and develop solutions in complex environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting recommendations to executive-level audiences.
  • Preferred: MBA or advanced degree.
  • Preferred: Direct experience working with customers in the relevant healthcare segment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 25% for account planning, customer interactions, and stakeholder engagement.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of approximately $161,000 to $299,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors.
