Description:

Edmunds Gastroenterology, a fast-paced gastroenterology office located off Papermill Drive in West Knoxville is currently looking for a full-time Medical Transporter.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take and record patient vitals and required additional information, verifying correct patient with correct chart and physician, using two identifiers...ie..name/DOB
  • Manage patient flow from front desk to exam room
  • Ensures disinfection and cleanliness of all clinic areas, triage equipment, exam rooms and waiting rooms
  • Keeps entry doors cleaned and disinfected
  • Supplies exam rooms, keeping inventory and ordering all necessary supplies

Job Type: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

Requirements:
  • The minimum qualifications required to successfully perform this position are the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year work experience with knowledge of medical field-physician office experience preferred
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing to patients, doctors and staff
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Records and Processes
  • Experience with computers and EMR documentation systems
  • Experience with assisting patient needs
  • BLS or ALS certification
