Director of Content Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Content Marketing based in United States.

We are seeking a strategic content marketing leader to define and scale a high-impact content function within a rapidly growing healthcare-focused organization.
This role will shape how the organization communicates with its audiences, strengthens brand positioning, and drives measurable business growth.
You will own the full content lifecycle, from strategy and planning to execution, optimization, and performance measurement.
Working closely with marketing, sales, product, and executive teams, you will transform insights into compelling content that supports demand generation and customer engagement.

Accountabilities:

The Director of Content Marketing will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive content strategy designed to increase brand awareness, generate demand, and support customer engagement throughout the lifecycle.

  • Define and own a content marketing strategy aligned with organizational objectives, revenue goals, and audience needs.
  • Build and maintain a long-term content roadmap supporting brand growth, demand generation, and customer lifecycle initiatives.
  • Identify market opportunities, audience segments, and messaging strategies to create differentiated positioning.
  • Establish scalable content frameworks, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of multi-channel, multi-format content across marketing programs.
  • Ensure consistent brand voice, messaging, and positioning across all communication channels.
  • Lead the development of high-impact content, including thought leadership, research-driven assets, campaigns, and executive communications.
  • Own content calendars and ensure alignment with product launches, marketing campaigns, and business priorities.
  • Develop content performance strategies and KPI frameworks tied to engagement, pipeline, and revenue impact.
  • Analyze content performance, attribution data, and audience insights to continuously optimize strategies.
  • Partner with Demand Generation, Sales, Product Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders to align messaging and business goals.
  • Oversee external communications initiatives, including brand positioning, public relations efforts, and executive thought leadership.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced content marketing leader with a strong background in B2B marketing, demand generation, and performance-driven content strategy. You should be comfortable balancing strategic leadership with data-driven execution and influencing stakeholders across the organization.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably within a B2B, healthcare, technology, or similar environment.
  • Proven experience building and executing content strategies that contribute to pipeline growth and revenue objectives.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing, demand generation, and content optimization strategies.
  • Deep knowledge of digital marketing channels, particularly LinkedIn and content distribution strategies.
  • Experience using AI tools to improve content workflows, productivity, and marketing effectiveness.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate performance data into strategic recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, leadership, decision-making, and execution skills.
  • Ability to create compelling narratives and communicate complex topics clearly.
  • Preferred: Experience with healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceutical marketing, healthcare professionals (HCP) audiences, or healthcare media.
