ADO Integrations/API Developer specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an ADO Integrations/API Developer specialist based in India.

This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and optimize integration solutions that improve software delivery processes and operational visibility. You will work at the intersection of API development, Azure DevOps, CI/CD automation, and cross-platform integration. The position involves analyzing existing workflows, identifying improvement opportunities, and creating scalable solutions that enhance collaboration and governance. You will collaborate with technical teams across multiple technology stacks to enable smoother deployments and stronger quality controls. Accountabilities:

The ADO Integrations/API Developer specialist will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing integration solutions that enhance CI/CD workflows, deployment processes, and operational transparency. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing existing CI/CD pipeline configurations, deployment processes, and integration readiness across different technology environments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand current deployment workflows, collaboration dashboards, notification systems, and governance requirements.
  • Identifying process gaps, technical challenges, and improvement opportunities within CI/CD and release management practices.
  • Analyzing integration architectures and designing solutions using APIs, web services, and plug-in capabilities.
  • Mapping business and technical use cases to quality gate pipelines, supporting both manual and automated processes.
  • Implementing and configuring Azure DevOps (ADO) integrations for identified pipelines and development workflows.
  • Configuring ADO data capture fields and custom fields to support backlog management, feature tracking, and work item organization.
  • Creating dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide stage-level visibility into features, dependencies, and delivery progress.
  • Setting up alerts and notifications through collaboration tools such as Teams and email based on predefined conditions, process delays, quality gate exceptions, and SLA breaches.
  • Leveraging ADO insights to improve operational processes, quality controls, and engineering efficiency.
  • Supporting successful deployments, integrations, and quality assurance activities across platforms including Salesforce, SAP, Informatica, .NET, and ILS.
  • Working closely with development, QA, and business teams to ensure smooth implementation and adoption of integration solutions.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced integration professional with strong expertise in API development, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD processes. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • Proven experience as an API Developer, Integration Specialist, or similar role focused on software integrations and automation.
  • Strong experience designing, developing, and integrating APIs, web services, and plug-ins.
  • Extensive experience working with Azure DevOps (ADO), including pipeline configuration, integration, and management.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, software delivery workflows, and release management processes.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC), quality assurance practices, and engineering governance.
  • Experience analyzing complex technical environments and translating requirements into scalable integration solutions.
  • Strong understanding of deployment processes, automation opportunities, and operational improvement practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, technical stakeholders, and development groups.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document processes, explain technical concepts, and support team alignment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
