Aimbridge Corporate - Divisional Vice President Sales, Full Service

The Divisional Vice President is the division specific sales leader responsible for sales and revenue performance for their assigned division. The DVPS is a divisional executive committee position that will work collaboratively with the other discipline leaders to achieve the divisions KPIs. They are responsible for spearheading revenue growth through leadership of their sales organization and the implementation of strategic sales initiatives to deliver topline results. The DVPS will build and oversee a high-performing team, enforce accountability for performance and be the escalating sales contact for owners, in addition to supporting their own direct ownership relationships and geographical region. Exceptional communication and leadership skills are essential for this key role in driving the portfolio's sales and market presence and performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 8 years of progressive hotel sales experience preferred or a combination of college degree and professional experience.
  • Prior experience leading and managing a leadership team is required.
  • Prior multi-brand/multi-market and/or complex sales experience is required.
  • Prior experience with large owner portfolio as well as juggling the needs of multiple owners simultaneously.
  • Demonstrates creative and critical thinking skills, with knowledge of marketing and e-commerce.
  • Must have access to transportation to visit properties and clients.
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations; maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Must be able to interpret and understand financial information and data, including hotel profit and loss statements, revenue and expense forecasts, and budget development.
  • Must be able to learn and use computer-based technology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Top Line Performance

  • Lead and oversee corporate initiated projects.
  • Evaluate and track divisional revenue performance against budget and brand benchmarks.
  • Monitor group, transient, and catering sales solicitations and booking statistics to drive portfolio performance across assigned division.
  • Develop and maintain market and demand awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.
  • Partner with Operations, Revenue, and e-Commerce leadership across a matrixed organization to develop short- and long-term strategies and facilitate initiatives.
  • Lead the development of the divisions annual budget and sales plan process to ensure budgets are realistic and thoughtful.
  • Implement strategic initiatives in the division to ensure the portfolio meets/exceeds management and owner revenue/profit goals and expectations.

Leadership and Direction

  • Maintain collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Set expectations, connect to the business strategy and mission, vision, and values.
  • Motivate people to achieve goals and to do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
  • Remove obstacles to enable their teams to optimize performance and results.
  • Manage and leads change.
  • Develop and mentor regional sales teams to maximize potential and drive retention.

Owner Relations

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key owners through ongoing communication, socialization, and rapport building.
  • Provide executive presence and gain owner confidence on key performance calls and meetings.
  • Drive sales communication of actions and results for assigned portfolio.
  • Identify the needs/opportunities/concerns of assigned owners and respond by leading and coordinating the development of plans with their team to ensure owner satisfaction.

  • Attainment of regional geographic goals, division KPIs and team goals and budgeted metrics.
  • Owner satisfaction.
