The Credit Analyst will play a key role in supporting credit strategy, model optimization, and product experimentation initiatives. This individual contributor position requires strong analytical capabilities, business judgment, and the ability to translate complex insights into actionable recommendations.
- Support the continuous development and refinement of credit models and underwriting policies to maintain strong performance and operational efficiency.
- Analyze credit performance, risk trends, and customer behavior to inform strategic decisions and improve lending outcomes.
- Partner on new product experiments, evaluating credit implications, pricing strategies, and potential opportunities for growth.
- Apply both quantitative analysis and customer-focused thinking to help transform early concepts into scalable credit solutions.
- Translate complex analytical findings into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders and business partners.
- Collaborate with data science, product, marketing, and risk teams to align credit initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Develop structured approaches to ambiguous analytical challenges and independently drive projects from problem definition through execution.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in lending, credit risk, analytics, and artificial intelligence to continuously improve methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in credit risk, quantitative analysis, or financial analytics, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Engineering, Business, Finance, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in credit risk, data analytics, or another quantitative role, ideally within consumer lending or financial technology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex and evolving business challenges.
- Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both analytical teams and executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence decisions and build trust with cross-functional partners without direct authority.
- Experience working with credit models, underwriting strategies, risk analysis, or related financial decisioning processes.
- Creative, action-oriented mindset with a willingness to test, iterate, and develop solutions in ambiguous situations.
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning new tools, methodologies, and developments in credit, lending, and AI.
- Competitive compensation package with a salary range of $170,000 - $200,000 USD.
