This role is an opportunity to build expertise in complex loan resolution while helping ensure accounts are handled accurately, timely, and in compliance with Credit Union requirements.

You’ll work closely with Financial Assistance, Loan Servicing, Lending, Legal, vendors, and other partners to support effective resolutions and a positive member experience.

    What You'll Do
  • Support daily collections and loss mitigation activities by monitoring delinquent accounts, researching account information, documenting actions, and escalating complex matters.
  • Assist with loan modifications and other loss mitigation solutions by gathering financial documentation, tracking requirements and timelines, and preparing files for review.
  • Support bankruptcy, foreclosure, and repossession activities by monitoring accounts, tracking deadlines, preparing documentation, and coordinating with attorneys, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Process charge-offs, payments, account updates, and recovery-related activities accurately and within established guidelines.
  • Research and respond to credit reporting disputes, account inquiries, and routine member and departmental requests.
  • Monitor queues, inboxes, reports, and assigned accounts to identify required actions, exceptions, and upcoming deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate loan and account records, documentation, correspondence, and system information.
  • Communicate professionally with members, internal teams, attorneys, vendors, and other partners to support timely account resolution.
  • Identify account, process, documentation, or system issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Support reporting, quality control reviews, audits, and regulatory requests.
  • Build knowledge of collections, loss mitigation, loan modifications, bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossession, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Protect confidential member and Credit Union information.

  • What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in collections, loan servicing, financial assistance, banking, credit union operations, or a related financial services environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of delinquency management, collections, loan servicing, or basic loss mitigation processes.
  • Familiarity with loan modifications, bankruptcy, foreclosure, repossession, charge-offs, or credit reporting is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to review account and financial information, identify discrepancies, follow established guidelines, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to learn financial and loan servicing systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.

In alignment with our commitment to pay transparency, we're pleased to share that the base range for this position is $26.50 - $28.50 per hour, excluding fringe benefits or potential incentives. If you're hired, your final base pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and experience.
