This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Engagement Manager - Application Managed Services based in United States.
This is a client-facing leadership role focused on delivering successful application managed services engagements within the healthcare consulting environment.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, ensuring projects remain aligned with their goals, expectations, and business priorities.
The role combines project delivery, relationship management, financial oversight, contract administration, and team leadership.
You will oversee complex engagements from kickoff through completion while managing scope, timelines, budgets, quality, and contractual commitments.
Success will depend on your ability to build lasting client relationships while guiding cross-functional teams toward measurable outcomes.

- Client Success & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintain strong long-term relationships, align engagement objectives with client needs, and proactively address concerns to support satisfaction and retention.
- Client Communication: Lead recurring status meetings, performance reviews, strategic planning discussions, and other executive-level interactions while gathering feedback and identifying opportunities to improve services and expand relationships.
- Engagement Delivery: Oversee client engagements from initiation through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, within budget, and according to agreed quality standards.
- Project & Scope Management: Define objectives, timelines, deliverables, roles, and responsibilities; lead project kickoffs; monitor progress; and manage scope, schedule, and budget changes through established change-control processes.
- Contract Management: Partner with sales, legal, and finance teams on contracts, statements of work, service agreements, and related client commitments while ensuring contractual and SLA obligations are fulfilled.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor budgets, forecasts, invoicing, profitability, and financial risks, providing regular financial and engagement reporting to leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams of project managers, consultants, and technical specialists, allocating resources, balancing workloads, resolving conflicts, and promoting strong client-focused performance.
- People Development: Coach and mentor team members, provide performance feedback, support training and skill development, and contribute to position management and recruitment activities.
- Operational Excellence: Encourage accountability, collaboration, innovation, and proactive problem-solving while monitoring KPIs such as client satisfaction, profitability, delivery performance, retention, account growth, and team engagement.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Experience: At least 5 years of experience in client engagement, project management, account management, professional services, consulting, or managed services.
- Client Leadership: Demonstrated success managing complex client relationships and delivering large-scale projects or engagements.
- Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall, along with familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.
- Financial Acumen: Experience managing project budgets, forecasts, profitability, invoicing, and financial risk.
- Contract Expertise: Experience managing contracts and negotiating statements of work and service agreements.
- Communication: Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Leadership: Strong people-management capabilities and a proven ability to build high-performing, collaborative, and client-centric teams.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple engagements, competing priorities, deadlines, and changing client requirements effectively.
- Problem Solving: Strong judgment and conflict-resolution skills, combined with a proactive approach to identifying risks and developing solutions.
