Job Description

Position Overview:

The Project Technician is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation, monitoring, and development of site projects, including pilot leach pads and pilot plants. This position performs daily equipment and work area inspections, monitors equipment and systems for proper operation, and assists with construction, maintenance, and project activities both onsite and offsite.

The Project Technician works collaboratively with various departments, including Maintenance, Crushing, ADR, and the Laboratory, to support operational needs and project objectives. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving, basic mathematical skills, and the ability to safely operate mobile equipment as needed. The Project Technician is expected to maintain a strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, equipment reliability, and effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

- Performing daily equipment walk around and work area inspections to identify, minimize and correct safety hazards and keep equipment properly maintained.
- Monitoring equipment and systems to ensure proper operation.
- Participate in the development of projects both onsite and offsite.
- Participating in the construction of pilot leach pads and pilot plants.
- Monitoring pilot leach pads and pilot plants.
- Assist other areas like maintenance, crushing, ADR and lab.
- Has the ability to operate a backhoe, telehandler forklift, loader, dozer and rock breaker attached to an excavator will be an advantage.
- Effective communication skills, as well as interpersonal, problem solving, basic math skills, ability to inform others using radio communication or other means of communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- One (1) year working in a crushing operation, ADR or similar environment preferred.
- Experience in other phases of gold ore processing preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work with minimum supervision required.
- Ability to stay alert and recognize possible hazardous conditions required.
- Proven safe work record with belief and value seen in courageous leadership model required.
- Ability to be an initial team member in a growing, fast-paced environment.
- Valid Driver's License required.

Work Environments/Physical Demands:

- Climbing Ladders/Stairs, walking over uneven ground, long periods of standing
- Moderate to Heavy repetitive lifting to 50 lbs.
- Repetitive motion - bending, stooping, kneeling.
- PPE required; respirators may be worn to perform specific tasks.
- Exposure to noise and dust
- Prolonged exposure to weather conditions (hot, cold, windy, dust), works at elevations more than six thousand feet and above.
